The Upper Margin buttons perform generic navigational and housekeeping functions:

  • HOME takes the user back to the main Index screen
  • PRINT prints the entire current Topic
  • SEARCH allows the user to search PEMSoft by entering subject names or up to five individual signs or symptoms
  • HELP takes the user to PEMSoft HELP, which explains all of the functions of the software
  • READ ME contains Term of Use and a list of current contributors
  • MD Calc+ (Online version) is a comprehensive toolkit of medical formulas and calculations
  • ADMIN (CD-ROM version) presents options (Language preference and User settings), after sign-in
  • GO BACK  (CD-ROM version) takes the user to the previously viewed Topic
  • HISTORY  (CD-ROM version) allows the user to reselect any recent previously-viewed Topic from a drop down list
  • EXIT  (CD-ROM version) quits PEMSoft
