Founded in 2003 by Dr. Ron Dieckmann and Dr. W. Robert Pitt, Pemsoft Pty Ltd produces the point-of-care, decision support software for emergency, ambulatory and critical care physicians on the front lines of medicine. PEMSoft is a worldwide medical reference system availabilie in either US or UK English and used by thousands of physicians worldwide especially the USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand. The initial PEMSoft software encompassed all of the subspecialties of child health, adolescent and young adult medicine.

In 2010, Pemsoft Pty Ltd began a software partnership with Medical Wizards, a Seattle-based medical software company, to produce “PEMSoft Portable”—an interactive medical app for mobile devices. In 2012, Pemsoft Pty Ltd will launch an adult point-of-care medical software program customized for emergency, ambulatory and critical care called “GEMSoft - General Emergency Medicine Software” to complement the original PEMSoft program.
